Resumen

There is no specific literature on the constructive development of the fortifications of Tetouan. The walls of the Medina have been remade throughout history. It is now presented as a sum of actions that hinders the direct study of the construction system. The present paper aims to study the major historical events of the Medina that have left a documentary mark on the wall. The vision of literary study that have given us geographers and explorers through their stories, providing an interesting example of how literature can be a tool of knowledge of its urban transformation is obtained.
