Abstract

This empirical project focuses on student-professor or student-computor interactions. It brings to light similarities between fashion and language systems and explores the effect of grammar-fashion comparisons and related play activities on the learning process. This article gives a few examples of visual metaphors used for teaching different aspects of linguistics and explains how they work to facilitate the learning process and to engage students' attention. Theses empirical findings, applied to linguistics, will hopefully provide inspiring examples and serve as models for exploring visual metaphors in the teaching of other disciplines.
